Threshold
The figure occupies a space of becoming, neither fully distinct from the landscape nor entirely absorbed by it. Marks, stains and botanical traces retain their own presence, shaping the image rather than describing it. Built through a process of response and revision, the painting gradually revealed a body embedded within its surface. It asks how presence might continue to inhabit a place long after its physical boundaries have disappeared.
